RigNet MediaCenter is a combined hardware and software solution. The system's purpose is to replace other standalone systems for such diverged use as TV, Set Top boxes, Radio, Telephone, PC (Internet, messaging, office application, operational software etc.) and internal information distribution. 
Instead of having multiple equipment and software solutions, MediaCenter replaces all of these in one single unit.
MediaCenter is specially developed for use onboard offshore installations and commercial maritime vessels. The units small size does not infringe on valuable real-estate in cramped crew quarters, and with many technologies integrated into the unit, the amount of equipment to maintain is dramatically reduced.
MediaCenter is operated primarily via a touch screen, but wireless keyboards and mice can be supplied as optional peripherals.

All in one unit
RigNet MediaCenter is operated with use of a touch based terminal. The terminal is a fully operational PC with peripherals such as built in webcam, phone cradle, infrared remote, keyboard, mouse, biometric scanner and electronic card reader.
Easy to use interface
The interface is made with simplicity and intuition in mind. The result is a GUI well suited for any age, nationality and cultural background. Language setting can be role depended.
The easy to use touch-screen menu is a tested and proven concept already implemented in more than one thousand terminals.
