RigNet, Inc. Names Lars P. Eliassen
Vice President and General Manager,
Eastern Hemisphere

HOUSTON, TX - September 7, 2011 - RigNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNET), a leading global provider of managed communications solutions to the oil and gas industry, has named Lars P. Eliassen to the new position of vice president and general manager - Eastern Hemisphere, announced Mark Slaughter, RigNet's CEO & president.

Currently based in Stavanger, Norway, Eliassen brings over 15 years of international management, marketing and business development experience serving technology, software and consulting companies. Most recently at RigNet, he has served as vice president and general manager - Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining RigNet in 2002, he served as director of marketing at Product Access, Inc., a provider of information management solutions for oil and gas producers. Eliassen has completed an executive program at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rice University.
