RigNet, Inc. Names Pam Thompson Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer

HOUSTON, TX - May 3, 2011 - RigNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNET), a leading independent provider of remote communications and collaborative applications to the global oil and gas industry, has named Pam Thompson to the position of Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, announced Chief Financial Officer Marty Jimmerson.

Thompson has 23 years of accounting and financial management experience that includes handling over 20 domestic and international acquisitions, establishing operations in over ten countries, and implementing international compliance measures.  She joins RigNet after serving as corporate controller of Scorpion Offshore since 2006 and before that, as assistant controller at Pride International for 5 years.
