RigNet, Inc. Names David Barbee Director, Global Human Resources

HOUSTON, TX - May 26, 2011 - RigNet Inc. (NASDAQ: RNET), a leading provider of managed communications to the oil and gas industry, has named David Barbee to the position of Director, Global Human Resources, announced Mark Slaughter, RigNet's ceo & president.

"David will be a great addition to the RigNet leadership team, overseeing our human resources efforts across the Company.  His human resources and corporate compliance expertise gained from a career spent within the oil and gas industry will serve RigNet well during this period of growth and expansion," said Slaughter. 

Based at RigNet's Houston headquarters, Barbee brings 15 years of experience in human resources and corporate compliance.  Barbee joins RigNet after serving as the senior human resources manager at Geokinetics, a publicly-traded international oil and gas services company and, before that, as the manager of human resources and global compensation at Paradigm Geophysical.  Barbee has a degree in Geology from Southern Methodist University, and a Juris Doctorate with a focus on Administrative Law and an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Houston.  David also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
