RigNet named to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies
Houston, TX - September 29, 2010 - RigNet, Inc., a leading global provider of managed remote communications solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry, announced today that it has been listed No. 1619 on the 2010 Inc. 5000, Inc. magazine's annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
The 2010 Inc. 5000 list ranks companies by percentage of revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies must be U.S. based and privately held, independent (not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies), and have had at least $100,000 in revenue in 2006 and $2 million in 2009.
Over this three-year period RigNet's revenue grew by 177 percent, earning RigNet a ranking of 42 in the energy industry category of the Inc. 500/5000 and a ranking of 37 among companies headquartered in the greater Houston metropolitan area.
