RigNet Featured at the 10th Annual Offshore Communications
Conference & Exposition Nov. 2-4 in Houston, Texas
RigNet to participate in roundtable panel discussions regarding offshore communications challenges of
today and tomorrow
Houston, TX, October 28, 2010 - RigNet, Inc., a leading global provider of managed communications solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry, will participate in the 2010 Offshore Communications Conference & Exposition from Tuesday, November 2nd through Thursday, November 4th, 2010.
The annual conference, an international event dedicated to communications and information technologies for offshore oil & gas and maritime markets, will be held at the Houston Marriott Westchase, 2900 Briarpark Dr., in Houston, Texas. The conference will address modern-day communication challenges inherent in the oil and gas industry, and will discuss future challenges and developments.
RigNet vice president and general manager of the Americas, Hector Maytorena, will participate in two roundtable panels, both of which will be on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd, in Grand Ballroom F. The first panel, "Solutions for Global Drilling", is scheduled for 2:45-3:45 p.m. and will address an expansive set of challenges, from language barriers to licensing and regulatory issues. This session will focus on key regions and roadblocks specific to each, and will offer best practices and insider tips to help keep business moving forward. The second panel, the "6-Minute Vendor Shoot-Out: Global Providers" will take place from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Maytorena, along with representatives from other vendors serving global markets, will discuss products and services their companies offer and how they can help companies maximize their bottom lines.
The exhibition held on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd and Thursday, Nov. 4th, features more than 65 companies. At booth #503, RigNet will showcase its leading-edge remote communications solutions designed specifically for the oil and gas industry, including high-tech demonstrations of real-time data, wide area network (WAN) optimization, remote hand-held video and video conferencing, and mobile satellite solutions.
