RigNet Promotes Morten Hagland Hansen
to Vice President, Global Engineering
HOUSTON, TX - RigNet, Inc., a leading independent provider of remote communications and collaborative applications to the global oil and gas industry, announced today that Morten Hagland Hansen has been promoted to the position of vice president, Global Engineering. Based at RigNet's Houston headquarters, Mr. Hansen is responsible for the global engineering group, which oversees RigNet's global MPLS, IP, satellite, and SOIL networks, including all supporting applications and related infrastructure. Additionally, he and his team support new product development and network design assistance for the Company's major drilling and oil and gas-producing customers.
Previously serving as director, Global Engineering, Mr. Hansen has more than twelve years of experience in information technology and telecommunications engineering, design and deployment. Since joining RigNet near its inception in 2001, he has served in several key leadership roles and is an integral member of the Company's leadership team. Mr. Hansen is also an officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy.
