The Product Manager - Access Technologies is responsible for identifying, scoping and financially justifying the development of new products and managing products through their life-cycle.  This includes the feature set, pricing and processes associated with ordering, delivering and supporting the product.

The Product Manager will also be responsible for specific satellite platforms which include budgeting and strategic planning processes for the product and inputting into vendor road maps to ensure maximum benefit to RigNet and end customers.

Product Management and/or marketing experience will be required.

A key task is to work across all other groups both internal, such as bid teams, engineering and operations and external groups such as customers and vendors to ensure that RigNet delivers profitable, customer-centric products and services.

The Product Manager must be able to facilitate in resolving internal issues such as process or capacity limitations that arise from time to time to ensure the satisfactory delivery of product and services to the customer in a profitable manner.

Success in this role is evident in the measurement of billed revenue growth and customer satisfaction results, both internal and external.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Product Management and/or marketing experience will be required
  • Relevant professional engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Broad knowledge of satellite-based products and application
  • Experience in managing product and financial reporting and forecasts
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong presentation skills
