Senior Telephony Analyst

RigNet, Inc., a leading global provider of managed communication services exclusively to the upstream oil and gas industry, is looking to expand our capabilities. We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Telephony Analyst for our Houston office.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support full network infrastructure life cycle including but not limited to design, implementation and maintenance.
• Commissioning of new sites.
• Design and buildcore network infrastructure.
• Support of telephony billing system.
• Development of procedures for use globally.
• Provide mentoring, training, and support for the engineering staff globally.
• Ability to assist sales in a highly competitive field.
• Assist NOC with trouble shooting.
• Must be available 24x7 in periods when on call.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong knowledge with Cisconetwork equipment (routers, switches)
• Solid experience in both VoIP and IT infrastructure (SIP, H.323, ISDN, CallManager, Unity etc)
• Strong knowledge on TCP/IP, Routing (OSPF, BGP, RIP).
• Strong knowledge on Windows, UNIX, Linux or BSD.
• B.S. Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related sciences.
• Vendor/Industry Certifications (Cisco CIPT, CCVP, CCIE (VOIP) highly desirable).
• Capable of making and defending/supporting technical and business recommendations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering tools and technologies and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision or no supervision.
• Possess strong business acumen in addition to technical competence.
• Able to maintain a professional and positive attitude.
• Possess a customer focused attitude.
• Valid state driver license required.
