Position description
The position is responsible for sales of RigNet's managed communications services to offshore drilling companies, energy operators and service companies with focus on Norway, Denmark and Holland. The candidate will be responsible for both maintaining existing accounts and growing the customer base.
Responsibilities, Accountabilities
- Secure new business
- Manage and develop existing accounts
- Assessment of opportunities
- Intelligence gathering on customers and competitors
- Generating leads for possible sales
- Customer presentation preparation and implementation
- Writing service order agreements, price quotes and giving presentations to senior level decision makers
- Account planning and performance monitoring
- Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
Qualifications/Experience
- Solid understanding of and ability to sell managed telecom solutions
- Proven sales track record in the oil and gas industry
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in remote telecommunications and/or information technology experience desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven selling, negotiations and closing skills
- Ability to influence decision making at all levels of an organization
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written, and comfortable with making sales presentations to senior level/decision making personnel (English & Norwegian)
- Highly self motivated and results oriented individual
