Position Description:

• Overall responsible for implementation of new projects within the Americas region; ensure successful implementation and hand over to operations

• Sales and marketing support; be a technical and commercial resource for sales and marketing including assist in developing bids, assist in meetings with customers, etc.
• Represent RigNet in a professional manner while interacting with customers, vendors, and partners.

General Purpose:

• Special focus on developing and improving our solutions to reduce cost , improve capacity and quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction beyond implementation

Role qualifications:

• Responsible for the creation, maintenance and delivery of the detailed Project Plan and Scope of Work
• Travel to customer facilities on-shore and off-shore to perform site surveys
• Coordinates all daily activities and personnel for the project
• Initiates contact and works with customer to develop expected timeframe for the beginning and end date/times of a project
• Creates and maintains activity and progress reports for internal and external customers
• Develop and constantly improve documentation including manuals, procedures, checklists, and parts list, etc.
• Tracks all budget related information to include but not limited to billable hours and expenses
• Documents and creates any change requests required
• Ensure that any technical issues are solved and that improvements are implemented to avoid re-occurrence
• Be technical contact to sales, assist in bid phase, attend technical meetings, plan demo and pilots
• If required, perform field installation and service of satellite, voice and data networks both offshore and onshore
• In emergency, assist NOC and perform on-site support to resolve any service issues within committed response time

Position responsibilities:

• Responsible for all activities from sales handoff to installation to successful commissioning and documentation of service
• Responsible for ensuring all equipment is acquired, tested (where applicable), and delivered to the project job site
• Responsible for providing instruction and direction to field engineers assigned to the project
• Responsible for site commissioning and testing
• Responsible for communicating status and issues to customers and RigNet management
• Responsible for ensuring 100% customer satisfaction from sales handoff to final NOC acceptance

Essential skills and experience:

• MUST POSSESS A CUSTOMER-FIRST ATTIDUDE

• OFFSHORE OIL AND GAS PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE A MUST
• 5 years of technical experience, including installation, setup, administration and maintenance of communications systems offshore and onshore
• Strong working knowledge of telecom voice and data services such as VSAT, Cisco and related wireless technologies
• Strong planning, analytical and technical skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Customer focused and an effective communicator
• Ability to multitask many projects, people, and activities simultaneously

Nonessential skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree, with a technical concentration preferred or equivalent experience
• Project Management Professional Certification
• Experience creating and manipulating schedules and project plans within Microsoft Project

Reporting to this position:  Assigned field engineers

Organizational Relationship:  reports to the Director of Operations; collaborates with Engineering Managers, Global NOC Manager, and Sales Executives.
