TITLE: Production Sales Manager - Western hemisphere (Houston)

Summary

Looking for professional sales managers to sell the company's offshore managed telecom and networking solutions services to globally-positioned energy operators, production companies, pipeline, offshore floating production/storage, offshore construction and service companies.  Aggressively prospect and sell to high level energy production operations management and IT decision makers and build relationships at the customer headquarter level to enable company to leverage its worldwide sales and operational presence to drive profitable revenue growth and market share.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

  • Actively sell company's managed solutions to operators, drillers, production, offshore construction and field development and service companies with headquarters and/or major regional office in the United States.
  • Prospect for new business, seeking new customers and sales leads, identifying sales opportunities and closing new sales.
  • Account Management of established accounts, seeks customer opportunity expansion.
  • Sales administration activities, day to day sales operations of existing and new accounts.
  • The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating the interaction between customer personnel and RigNet staff and operations personnel driving customer satisfaction.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contacts with appropriate regionally based National Oil Companies and Independent Operators
  • Work effectively with regions to develop strategies to win and maintain global account business
  • Maintain a high level of sales activity including prospecting, needs assessments, proposal presentation, negotiation and post-sales service
  • Work effectively with Global Bids Team and functional departments to prepare effective and compliant quotes, Service Order Agreements and Master Service Agreements
  • Prepare, deliver and follow up on professional presentations with targeted accounts
  • Use company CRM, to prepare sales forecasts and reports as outlined by Global VP Sales
  • Responsible for maintaining customer relationships as account manager.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Work in a structured matrix environment with multiple lines of reporting and interaction.
  • Required staff in hemispheric theater will functionally report to Regional VP.
  • Work closely with project managers, operations center staff, network engineers and field engineers in region to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal - maintain sensitive company information

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree is desired or equivalent on the job experience.
  • Telecommunications or Oilfield sales experience with and interest in remote communications
  • Extensive contacts in the Oil and Gas industry, especially in offshore production, international production, LNG, construction industries.
  • Demonstrable selling and closing skills with proven success in developing new accounts
  • A history of successful quota and/or sales objective attainment
  • Background selling technical solutions to high level executive decision makers
  • Good computer skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comply with all safety requirements implemented by employer, customers, facility owners or vendors.
  • Team player with strong planning, analytical and technical skills.
  • Customer focused and an effective communicator.
  • Creative and resourceful problem solving abilities
  • Attention to detail

The candidate must be available for travel for both nationally and internationally.
