Job Title: Contract NOC Engineer

Purpose
This engineer position involves the day-to-day customer network monitoring and support of RigNet's Houston-based Network Operations Center.
Responsibilities, Accountabilities
- Monitoring service site equipment on offshore and land-based facilities.
- Remote network and satellite communication technical support.
- Voice over IP, Cisco Call Manger, Unity Voice Mail
- Coordination of commissioning of new systems or relocated systems
- Incident management and phone support for internal and external customers.
- Utilize ticketing tracking tool, update site documentation, update SharePoint
- Work with satellite and terrestrial carriers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Hours and work schedule may vary but may have to be available to work rotating shift, days, nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills with customers, superiors, and peers.

Qualifications/ Experiences
|
- Minimum BS in technical field or equivalent education
- Prior networking experience a must.
- Background and interest in advanced voice and data services AND/OR commercial-grade
satellite communications systems
- Experience in IP, Satellite VSAT, Wireless, Upstream Oil and Gas is definitely a plus
- Customer service and or helpdesk experience is a plus
- CCNA, MCSE, or other networking certifications are a plus
- The successful candidate must be customer focused and an effective communicator
