TITLE:   Area Manager - United Kingdom/Africa

DEPARTMENT:  Operations

REPORTS TO: 
*Vice President & General Manager, Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) region

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility for the area, including profit and loss (P&L), to drive sales and profitability to meet targets
  • Specific responsibility for sales, provisioning and operations within the area, supported by region and corporate engineering and finance functions
  • Responsible for developing and delivering against budgets and forecasts
  • Manage day-to-day operations, and service customers with the goal of operational excellence
  • Implement and maintain processes and procedures associated with the sales, provisioning and operations functions in the area
  • Manage local Aberdeen and West/North Africa based teams
  • Oversee scheduling of personnel for jobs, projects and dispatches
  • Oversee billing of jobs and projects
  • Oversee inventory and asset control
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task under these conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  •  University degree in relevant business or technical field

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years management and P&L experience in remote communications
  • Minimum 2 years operational experience in remote communications
  • Experience from business development and operations in Africa preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to organize and lead teams in disparate geographies
  • Must have direct skills in P&L management
